COVID 19 Safety Measures
Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.
Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agency’s recommendations.
What we are doing to keep you safe:
Our office will communicate with you via email or text 2 days prior to your appointment to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you arrive to our office.
We now provide a “virtual waiting room”. Please remain in your car and call or text us when you arrive for your appointment. We will collect your copay and schedule any followup visits prior to your appointment over the phone.
We will call you when you are ready to be seen. One of our staff will meet you at the front door where you will be asked some screening questions and your temperature will be taken. If you have a temperature greater than 100.4 you will not be seen. You will then be given hand sanitizer and escorted directly to the room for your appointment.
Please note, only the person receiving treatment will be allowed in, except for a parent or guardian accompanying a minor.
When your appointment is finished our staff will escort you out. If anything has changed with your current treatment or future needs our front desk will call you to address it.
Appointments will now be managed to allow for extra time in between patients to limit contact and ensure social distancing.
In between patients, we are disinfecting the office with an electric ULV fogger utilizing hypochlorous acid. Hypochlorous acid is one of the agents listed on the CDC website approved to kill COVID 19. Hypochlorous acid is safe, as it is used in over the counter eye drops and some sprays for pets.
We have also installed Medify Medical Grade Air Filtration systems which filter out 99.97% of bacteria and virus particles down to 0.1 microns which is Covid 19 sized.
We value your trust and want you to feel comfortable and safe coming to the dentist. Please call us if you would like more information. We are happy to answer any further questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice.
We look forward to welcoming you to our practice.
