If you haven't visited a modern dental office recently, you might be surprised by the array of state-of-the-art technology we provide our patients at Advanced Dental Care. You already know how certain technology streamlines your life, and modern technology also improves the comfort and efficiency of your dental treatments.
Please take a moment to check out some of the technology we offer to make your visits comfortable and stress-free!
CEREC Same-Visit Crowns
Life gets busy with lots of commitments, and we understand that you probably prefer to spend as little time as possible in the dental chair. One way we make it easy to get the care you need and get back to your life is with CEREC same-visit crowns and restorations.
The process of getting a lab-fabricated crown can be long and drawn out and usually involves several visits. Not to mention having to deal with multiple injections, uncomfortable impressions, and the nuisance of wearing a temporary crown.
Using CEREC’s chairside technology, we can eliminate all the hassle and deliver a fully customized dental crown in a two-hour appointment at our Winter Springs dental office.
We use CEREC with computer-aided design technology that allows us to design a virtual 3-D model of the tooth, and this information is used to fabricate an all-porcelain dental crown while you wait. When the process is finished, you will leave our office with a restoration that blends beautifully with your smile without any of the hassles of a lab-fabricated crown.
Televisions in Rooms
If you are like many people, a visit to the dentist isn't high on your list of enjoyable activities. But you may be surprised to know that today's updated dental technology and treatments are far more comfortable and efficient than they were in the past.
At Advanced Dental Care, your comfort is our priority because we want you to feel relaxed and confident during your appointments. In addition to stress-free dentistry, we are pleased to offer TVs in all our treatment rooms so you have the option of sitting back and watching your favorite program while we focus on making sure your smile is as healthy as it can be.
We are very cautious about the number of x-rays we prescribe. But decay and gum disease frequently develop deep within a tooth or under the gums, where they can’t be seen during a visual exam. At Advanced Dental Care, we use digital x-rays because they provide a high-resolution image of your teeth that helps us clearly identify and diagnose conditions when they are still in their earliest stages and therefore easier to resolve.
There are many benefits to using digital x-rays. Since the images are digital, we can share them with you in moments on your chairside monitor. Viewing the images together allows Dr. Young to zoom in on problem areas, which will help you see why treatment is necessary.
Digital x-rays also help us keep you safe because they emit about 90% less radiation than older film x-rays. Since there are no hazardous chemicals to dispose of, digital x-rays are environmentally friendly. Finally, digital x-rays are stored on our secure in-house network so they are easily accessible for reference or to send to specialists or insurance companies.
